A fairy's song
A fairy's song

At dawn I once heard a fairy sing

I sat down very quietly, listening to his

breath-taking song about little things.

He sang about harebells and flowering moss

and the blue colour of the forest-anemone.

His harp sounded like the soft splashing

of a forest brook; clear and bright.

For a moment I found myself in the other world

and at the song "Wild Hyacinth"

I was dancing in my mind

feeling like a fairy's child
